In recent years, with the rapid development of medical technology, more and more medical devices have made use of sensor technology to bring revolutionary treatments and experiences to doctors and patients, such as heart rate management, surgical instrument positioning, invasive pressure measurement, etc., which are now used. By combining sensor signals with other monitoring results, people can monitor the patient's physical condition in real time and make more accurate judgments about the condition, so as to effectively avoid the deterioration of the disease.

(The picture comes from the Internet)
For example, when doctors need to monitor a patient's invasive blood pressure, such as arterial pressure, skull, heart pressure, etc., in order to obtain a more accurate blood pressure value, a device with an invasive pressure sensor will be used to measure it. An invasive blood pressure (IBP) is monitored by placing a trocar in an artery (usually radial, femoral, dorsalis pedis or brachial artery) to provide an objective basis for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognostic estimation of the disease.

Invasive blood pressure (IBP) monitoring can provide a variety of clinical values. For example, in surgical applications, continuous and accurate blood pressure measurement allows medical staff to respond more quickly to changes, in addition, after anesthesia is administered, blood pressure needs to be continuously monitored to ensure patient safety during surgery, and during certain surgical procedures, it is critical to keep blood pressure within a very small range, and invasive blood pressure (IBP) monitoring enables precise blood pressure control. Invasive pressure sensors are increasingly being used in patient care, with hundreds of thousands of single-use invasive sensors used worldwide each year to measure pressure in the skull and heart.
At present, most of the shares of invasive pressure sensors used in domestic hospitals are occupied by foreign manufacturers, and Beijing Smart Sensor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Smart Sensor) independently developed and produced a new medical-grade invasive pressure sensor ZXPA, due to its excellent indicators, can completely replace foreign products of the same type.

(Smart Sensor ZXPA Intrusive Pressure Sensor)
Smart Sensor's ZXPA is an invasive pressure sensor that can measure blood pressure at a fixed point in human blood vessels. For user convenience, the sensor can be pre-attached to guidewires of different diameters. The sensor is packaged without the addition of gels or sealants to accurately monitor blood pressure changes in clinical medicine, with a pressure range of -300mmHg to 300mmHg and an operating temperature of +15°C to +45°C, designed for medical-grade invasive blood pressure measurement scenarios.

Because the human body is adept at rejecting foreign bodies, medical devices need to be especially careful not to cause harmful defenses in the body, as well as to cause cellular damage due to physical or chemical incompatibility. Smart Sensor's ZXPA intrusive pressure sensor uses a piezoresistive half-bridge structure and MEMS silicon-silicon process, and the materials used are biocompatible materials, which can improve the safety of medical processes. At the same time, the use of customizable-length three-wire connection packages makes integration easier and more convenient. Clinical applications include: intracranial pressure, microvascular occlusion, bleeding control, aortic control, etc.

The ZXPA intrusive pressure sensor of Smart Sensor has a very small size (650umx220umx75um) and an accuracy of ±1%FS, which is suitable for invasive applications such as intracranial pressure measurement. Intracranial pressure monitoring is to place the detector probe in the skull, forehead or occipital region, and transmit the pressure information to the workstation through the pressure sensor, so as to help judge the patient's cerebral edema injury by understanding the changes in intracranial pressure, so as to facilitate the next treatment.
Through long-term experience accumulation and bold innovation, Smart Sensor has continuously developed a new type of MEMS pressure sensor that meets market demand and solves the problem of "stuck neck" through technology investment in recent years, and has continuously achieved brilliant results on the road of "independence, controllability and innovation"!
